Your work as an early childhood education and care provider is unique and important, and we want to help you put your best foot forward so families looking for care can find your service fast.
To ensure your service stands out in the increasingly crowded early childhood marketplace we have developed this free Marketing Guide for the Early Childhood Sector, which outlines a range of simple strategies for boosting the profile of your service.
You don't need fancy qualifications to market and promote your early childhood service, but you do need an understanding of what makes your centre special and how to communicate this to families.

How & Why to Boost Parent Engagement
|
It's a new year and forging a successful partnership with parents and carers requires engaging them early, often, and creatively to build a lasting and meaningful relationship with multiple benefits.
Research shows that strong partnerships between an early childhood centre and families can significantly reduce the effects of social disadvantage, contribute positively to improved child outcomes and increase social inclusion.
The challenge however is that a one-size-fits-all approach may not work. Engagement requires multiple strategies as every family is different and not all parents can commit to all levels of partnership development.

Introducing young scientists to colourful STEM
|
Children love colour. They are drawn to it; rainbows fire up their imagination and light up their curiosity. By blending their love of colour with the magic of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) you can engage young children in some hands-on fun and learning with enormous benefits.
Exposure to STEM in early childhood develops knowledge and inquiry-based habits of mind and research indicates that exposure to STEM-rich content during the preschool years is critical to later success in school – not only in the STEM domains, but in others as well (Early Childhood STEM Working Group, McClure et al. 2017).

Novel Coronavirus – Exclusion Advice
|
With the rapid spread of the novel coronavirus early learning services have been advised to inform families and staff members who have travelled to the Hubei Province of China in the past 14 days to isolate themselves in their home for 14 days after leaving Hubei Province.
In addition, children or staff members who have been in close contact with someone with a confirmed case of the virus must also isolate themselves for 14 days following their last contact with the infected person.
Staff and children who fall into these categories are not to attend their early learning service and should not engage with other children.
