BestStart Pyes Pa  

Welcome to BestStart Pyes Pa (formerly TopKids Pyes Pa). Our beautiful centre is situated within a new shopping centre in the heart of Pyes Pa.

Our opening hours are Monday to Friday from 7.30am to 5.30pm and we provide education and care for children aged 3 months to 5 years. We offer morning and afternoon sessions as well as school day and full day attendance to cater for a variety of needs.

Our lovely building boasts light, spacious and well-resourced rooms. We ensure a warm and nurturing experience which provides children with the perfect environment in which to explore and flourish. Our goal is for all parents and children to feel a sense of belonging, to have a respected and necessary voice and to become completely involved within our TopKids community.

Our teachers are extremely supportive and aim to work closely alongside parents and whanau, nurturing a strong sense of ownership and belonging for all of our children and their families. We acknowledge the important role of parents as ‘first teachers’, therefore we value and respect the aspirations and expectations you have for your child.

We acknowledge and promote New Zealand’s bi-cultural heritage by embracing and developing a deeper understanding of Te Ao Maori. We are proud of the cultural heritage of Aotearoa New Zealand, the cultural diversity of our own community and of the exciting world around us.

Children are active learners, and we support their independence and choices. We work with them in a way that shows respect and reflects a genuine interest in their feelings, ideas and actions. We nurture their relationships and support their playful exploration so they can be happy, confident and capable life-long learners.

Gecko Room (3 Months – 2 years) - Our Gecko Room provides a warm and homely environment and are attuned to children’s needs. Our teachers form trusting relationships and are focused on supporting each individual child. Children are able to develop at their own pace.We are 100% committed to working with you and will follow routines from home.

Kiwi Room (2 – 5 years) Our Kiwi Room is an exciting world of exploration and discovery. We believe that all children are precious individuals who have an important voice. Our children are acknowledged as reflective thinkers, explores, capable of making sound decisions with regards to their own learning. Our teachers are supportive and nurturing and are 100% committed to working with you.

Our unique Be School Ready initiative has been developed to ensure that children leave the centre with all the important and necessary skills in which to confidently embrace and thrive in the next step in their learning journey.
